Insert the Kensington Bluetooth Dongle into the computer's USB port.
Pairing the WiiMote
1. Right click on the bluetooth icon on the taskbar.
2. Click on the Bluetooth Setup Wizard.
3. Click on I want to find a specific Bluetooth Device and configure how this computer will use its services. Then click next.
4. There may be several devices sensed the only two we are concerned about the Nintendo and Firefly. We will pair the Nintendo Controller first.
5. Double click on Nintendo RVL-CNT-01.
6. For the Nintendo there is no pin so you can click on Skip Pairing.
7. Make sure that the Box is checked and click on Finish.
Pairing the FireFly
1. Right click on the bluetooth icon on the taskbar.
2. Click on the Bluetooth Setup Wizard.
3. Click on I want to find a specific Bluetooth Device and configure how this computer will use its services. Then click next.
4. There may be several devices sensed the only two we are concerned about the Nintendo and Firefly. .
5. Double click FireFly-d40f.
(The -d40f is the unique identifier for this modem yours may be different)
If you are seeing multiple FireFlys on the screen look at the Mac # on the Modem and match it to the FireFly in the screen above.
6. For the FireFly there is a PIN. Enter 1234 and click on Initiate Pairing.
7. Make sure that the Box is checked and click on Finish.
You have now sucessfully paired the robot and WiiMote to the computer.
We now need to connect to the Firefly Modem.
Connecting the Firefly
1. Right click on the Bluetooth icon and click on Explore My Bluetooth Places.
2. Double Click on the FireFly.
This will connect the computer to the Firefly and tell you which com port you have connected it to.
Be sure to write down the comport as you will need this later!
In this case we connected on Com 5.
If the light on the modem has gone from flashing red to a solid green and the 4 lights on the wiimote are still blinking you are all set.
You will need to do this every time you want to use the robot.
